Fed Biz duo take up sprinting duties at 2020 Breeders’ Cup

Fed Biz has two chances to add a Breeders’ Cup winner to his impressive stallion resume at this year’s running at Keeneland.

Both will come during Saturday’s card, with Inthemidstofbiz in the Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) and Front Run the Fed in the Turf Sprint (G1).

The $1 Filly and Mare Sprint is the first Breeders’ Cup race of the day, the fourth at noon ET. Inthemidstofbiz drew post four in the stellar field of nine distaffers that will traverse seven furlongs. The 4-year-old filly brings a three-race winning streak into Saturday’s contest, topped by her three-length win in the Oct. 3 TCA (G2) at Keeneland.

Inthemidstofbiz is owned by Contreras Stables and Andrew Knapczyk and was bred by J D Stuart and Mueller Farm Inc.

The $1 million Turf Sprint follows directly after the F&M Sprint, at 12:40 p.m. Front Run the Fed also drew post 4 in what is a 14-horse field. The 4-year-old colt turned in his career-best performance when beaten just a neck last time out in the Turf Sprint (G3) at Kentucky Downs, recording an excellent Beyer Speed Figure of 101. The Klaravich Stables runner has earned $322,150 to date.

Bred by Colts Neck Stable, Front Run the Fed’s second dam Unbridled Pleasure is a half-sister to millionaire and 16-time stakes winner Lottsa Talc.

Fed Biz is a top-five Third-Crop sire this year, with 72 individual winners and seven stakes horses to date. He will stand the 2021 season for $5,000 S&N.
