Fed Biz filly rides the rail to first stakes victory

Precious looked very sharp in winning the $100,000 Blue Mountain Juvenile Fillies S. Nov. 27 at Penn National, rolling to a three-length victory to up the 2-year-old Fed Biz filly’s record to 2-for-2 (VIDEO).

The Newell Thoroughbred homebred, trained by John Servis, broke her maiden by a whopping 14 lengths on Oct. 14 and has now earned $84,000 in her two victories. Fed Biz, the leading Second-Crop sire by stakes horses with a dozen, now has four stakes winners and progeny earnings approaching $3 million this year.

Precious was last in the field of five for the first half of the race, but began to quickly make up ground on the turn. Skimming the fence, she rolled past heavy favorite Autonomous in mid-stretch and went on to victory under a hand ride.

Precious is out of the Smarty Jones mare Brilliant Sunshine, who was twice stakes-placed an is a daughter of multiple stakes winner Tomorrows Sunshine.
