Fed Biz filly takes debut at Arlington, second winner for sire

Freshman Sire Fed Biz tallied the second winner from his first crop on July 13 when the 2-year-old filly Madison’s Quarters scored a valiant neck victory in a five furlong maiden special weight race at Arlington Park.

The winner, who was making her first lifetime start, led the entire trip, outlasting a late-charging Crafty’s Dream, by Bodemeister, to stop the timer in 1:00.96 on a fast main track (VIDEO).

Madison’s Quarters is owned by Lothenbach Stables and was bred in Kentucky by Dixiana Farms. She is the second foal out of the graded stakes-placed Street Sense mare Toxis, who foaled a Fed Biz filly this year. Lothenbach purchased Madison’s Quarters for $130,000 out of the 2017 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearlings sale.

With just over 100 named 2-year-olds, Fed Biz is solidly entrenched in the top-10 on this year’s Freshman Sire list. He is also among the leading freshman sires of 2-year-olds this year, with an average sale price of $135,655.
