Bella Paella forged to a 2 ¼-length win in Sunday’s $50,000 Useeit S. at Remington Park to give the 3-year-old daughter of Bellamy Road her first career stakes victory.
Bellamy Road, who will stand for $7,500 next year at WinStar Farm, now has eight stakes winner in 2015, including the promising 2-year-old filly Constellation, who was also runner-up in the Spinaway S. (G1).
Bella Paella sat just behind the pace in Sunday’s one mile affair before rallying three-wide on the turn and pulling away late for a clear win (VIDEO).
The winner, owned by Jose Luis Espinoza, is now 3-3-1 in 10 starts and has banked $74,775. Bred by Center Hills Farm and Fred and Susan Davis, Bella Paella is out of Smooth Brandy, a sister to Vinery Madison S. (G1) winner Dr. Zic.
