Harlan’s Holiday a choice sire at F-T July

Harlan’s Holiday had top-10 selling horses in both the Fasig-Tipton July sale and the Summer Select Sale of Horses of Racing Age on July 15 at the central Kentucky auction house.

In the yearling portion of the sale, hip No. 107, consigned by Select Sales, agent, brought a winning bid of $270,000 from Conquest Stables. The gray or roan filly is out of Rockin’ Kate, who set a track record at Retama Park when winning the Selma S.

Later in the day, hip No. 314, Holiday Soiree, sold for $370,000, co-third highest price of that portion of the auction. The 4-year-old filly was consigned by Four Star Sales, agent and purchased by Phase II Thoroughbreds. Holiday Soiree has bankrolled $330,642 and has four wins and seconds to her credit. She was also third in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff S. at Churchill Downs.
