Harlan’s Holiday bags 2nd SW in two days

Cat’s Holiday romped to a 4 3/4-length victory in Sunday’s $75,000 Malvern Rose S. at Presque Isle Downs (VIDEO), giving Harlan’s Holiday his second stakes winner of the weekend, coming on the heels of Notacatbutallama’s win in the Grade 2 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame S. Saturday at Saratoga.

Harlan’s Holiday now has 11 stakes winners in 2013, accounting for 16 black-type victories, good for a top-10 ranking in both categories on this year’s General Sire list.

Three-year-old Cat’s Holiday, who collected her first stakes win in the Malvern Rose, is a full sister to Grade 3 Herecomesthebride S. winner Dynamic Lady. The Augustin Stable homebred proved too much for her foes on Sunday, rolling from near the back of the six-horse field to sweep by her competition to come home an easy winner.

Cat’s Holiday covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.83.

Trained by Graham Motion, Cat’s Holiday is 3-0-0 in seven starts, earning $84,359.
