Sent off as the favorite in the mile turf race, Boat Trip rallied in the stretch to prove best late. Trained by Michael Pender, the bay colt moved his career earnings to $118,930 with his third straight victory and first in a stakes race. He races for owners B. J. Wright and James Hirschmann III.
