Hold Me Back firster rules at Gulfstream

My Miss Venezuela went gate-to-wire in her career debut Thursday at Gulfstream Park, the fourth winner for top-10 freshman sire Hold Me Back.

Bred and owned by Orlyana Farm, My Miss Valenzuela won the five furlong affair by 3 1/4-lengths in a snappy :59.59 seconds.  My Miss Valenzuela is the first foal out of Multipass, a stakes-placed winner of $165,692.

Hold Me Back, winner of two of his three starts as a juvenile, went on to have his best year at three, winning the Grade 2 Spiral S. and finishing second in both the Travers (G1) and Blue Grass S. (G1). He stood the 2014 season at WinStar for $6,000 live foal.
