Artie Schiller’s Hop the Six got the second stakes win of her career on Saturday afternoon with a hard-fought victory in the $75,000 Small Wonder S. at Delaware Park. The 3-year-old filly, who has won three of five starts, took the $56,000 White Clay Creek S. at the same track in July.
Hop the Six is one of five stakes winners this year by his sire, led by Grade 1 winner Cakal Carlos (TUR).
Hop the Six prevailed by a head in a three-way photo in the 5 1/2-furlong Small Wonder. The Elkstone Group LLC homebred has now bankrolled $115,000. She is out of Pulpit Fiction, who has also produced two other multiple winners.
