More Than Ready’s strong second day results at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling sale were led by a $450,000 filly purchased by Niall Brennan, agent for Marc Keller.
The filly, hip No. 204, was consigned by Stonehaven Steadings. The dark bay filly’s dam, the Smart Strike mare Beckles Road, is a half-sister to Canadian champion 3-year-old filly Leigh Court and Group 2 winner King of Sydney.
Midway through Tuesday’s session, hip No. 290, consigned by Warrendale Sales, went to Fontaine Bloodstock for $325,000. The gray filly is out of the Grade 2-placed Deb’s Charm and is a half-sister to two stakes winners.
More Than Ready’s substantial list of September yearlings includes an additional 59 in the catalog for the sale, which runs through September 25.
