Knicks Go at the top of his game for Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1)
Tuesday, November 3, 2020
Paynter's Knicks Go returns to the site of his greatest triumph to date when he goes postward in Saturday's $1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1).

It was just over two years ago that the now 4-year-old won the Breeders' Futurity (G1) at Keeneland, and if recent form is any indication, he is at the top of his game again.

After missing most of the year, Knicks Go returned from a nine-month layoff for a blowout 10 1/4-length allowance win at Keeneland on Oct. 4, recording a huge Beyer Speed Figure of 107, the second-highest number of any of his foes in the 12-horse field.

Now in the care of trainer Brad Cox for owner Korea Racing Authority, Knicks Go also placed second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) and has earnings of $828,995. He was bred by Angie Moore.

Knicks Go, in post 5, will be ridden Saturday by Joel Rosario. The Dirt Mile is race 6 at 1:18 p.m. ET.

Paynter is once again among the leading sires of his generation. He leads all Fourth-Crop sires by black type horses, with 16, and wins, with 158, and is second by progeny earnings and winners.
