Life Imitates Art too good in Sophomore Turf S.

More Than Ready’s graded stakes winner Life Imitates Art outclassed his opponents in Saturday’s $75,000 Sophomore Turf S. at Tampa Bay Downs, striding out strongly in the stretch to win going away by 1 1/2-lengths.

Winner of the Dania Beach S. (G3) on Jan. 2, Life Imitates Art had was full of run in the Tampa stretch, rallying from sixth at the head of the lane to finish clearly best, getting the 1 1/16-miles in 1:42.41 on the firm turf.

Trained by Chad Brown for Klaravich Stables and William H. Lawrence, Life Imitates Art is 3-3-0 in seven starts and has earned $198,720. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Hardacre Farm and is out of Habiboo, a stakes-place sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Street Boss.
