Mineralogy, a 3-year-old by top-10 Second-Crop sire Gemologist, rolled to a 4 1/4-length maiden special weight win on April 8 at Aqueduct.
The winner led the entire seven furlong trip, and was in hand late after opening up about halfway through race (VIDEO).
Mineralogy was bred in Kentucky by Machmer Hall and Golden Pedigree LLC and is the second foal out of the stakes-placed mare Orabell. He was purchased by his owner Don Ogden out of the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Spring 2-year-old Sale.
