The second day of the March 14-15 OBS Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training brought more solid results for leading second-crop sire Gemologist, with hip No. 555 selling for $250,000 to Blandford Stud, agent.
Eddie Wood was the consignor of the chestnut colt, who is out of the Hennessy mare Gasp, who is a sister to the stakes winners Return to Paradise and Coya.
Gemologist currently ranks in the top five on the 2017 Second-crop sire list and finished in the same spot on last year’s Freshman Sire list.
