OBS 2yo Sale wrap: Super Saver stars

Headlined by a colt that hammered for $525,000, Super Saver had a total of four juveniles from his first crop sell for at least $200,000 at the OBS Spring Sale of Two-year-olds in Training that ran April 21-24 in Ocala.

Hip No. 779 sold during day three of the auction. Consigned by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, was purchased by Mark Casse, Agent, for $525,000. The bay colt, out of Tiz Fate, by Tiznow, is a half-sister to stakes winner Yoursmineours, and worked an eighth-mile in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack show.

Hip No. 749, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc., went to D P Racing LLC for $400,000. The dark bay colt is out of Tell Some Fibs, who is a full sister to Grade 1 Humana Distaff H. winner My Trusty Cat.

A pair of Super Saver 2-year-olds went for $200,000: hip No. 42, a filly consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, agent, went to Steve Young, agent, while hip No. 807 also went to D P Racing LLC from the Harris Training Center LLC consignment. The colt is a half-brother to Grade 3 Natalma S. winner Pink Champagne.
