Outwork’s Gone to Cabo rolls by 8 in Gulfstream Park maiden win

Top-five First-Crop sire Outwork chalked up his 17th winner Sunday at Gulfstream Park when Gone to Cabo ran up the score to win by eight widening lengths in a 6 1/2-furlong maiden race for 2-year-old fillies.

Gone to Cabo, in second early, went to the front easily with three furlongs to run and never looked back. She was under a hand ride the entire trip as she finished the distance in 1:18.17 on the fast main track.

The winner is owned by Drawing Away Stable and was bred by Bill & Phyllis Adair and Connie Brown. Gone to Cabo’s dam Cabo Time is a twice stakes-placed earner of more than $230,000.

Outwork’s stellar first crop of runners includes stakes winners Outadore, who would go on to place in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) and Samborella. After breeding 160 mares this year, Outwork is standing the 2021 season for $15,000 S&N.
