Evaluator’s electric last-to-first move on the Saratoga turf course in a Saratoga $73,000 maiden special weight resulted in four-length victory for the 2-year-old Overanalyze colt (VIDEO).
Overanalyze now has 12 winners from his first crop, leading all Freshman Sires and the only one with a double-digit number of winners.
Evaluator broke very awkwardly and found himself in the back of the field about 10 lengths behind the leader. He continued to trail until the three furlong mark, when he began to accelerate rapidly while well off the rail. With a full head of steam coming into the stretch, he bounded to the lead and kept to task late, winning in style in 1:42 flat for the 1 1/16 on the firm turf.
