Speightster filly rolls to six-length maiden special weight win

Top-five First-Crop sire Speightster is up to a half-dozen winners after That Kenney Kid drew off to a six-length victory in a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race on Friday.

The bay filly was prominent from the outset and increased her margin the entire trip, easing up late when the outcome was certain.

That Kenney Kid races for David Kenney and ERJ Racing LLC and was bred by Maurice Casey III.

Speightster is currently second on the First-Crop sire list with $315,000 in progeny earnings. Among his six winners, which have all come at different tracks, are the stakes-placed duo of Dreaming of Drew and Fabricate.
