Speightstown has top filly Tuesday at Keeneland

The top-priced filly during Day 2 of the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling sale was a Speightstown juvenile that went for $800,000 to Shadwell Estate Company, Ltd.

Paramount Sales, agent for Sierra Farm, consigned hip No. 356. The Kentucky-bred filly is out of the multiple graded stakes-placed Giant’s Causeway mare General Consensus, a half-sister to Grade 1 Triple Bend S. winner Centralinteligence.

Through the first two days of the auction, Speightstown has had six yearlings go through the ring for an average of $421,667.

Speightstown has an additional 38 yearlings remaining in the catalog for the September sale, which runs through September 25.
