Strong MdSpWt victory for Super Saver colt at Churchill Downs

Bo Talon cleared off late against a solid group of 2-year-olds Saturday at Churchill Downs to give the Super Saver colt a victory in his second career start.

Super Saver, North America’s leading Freshman Sire of stakes horses with seven, now has 11 winners and nearly $1.3 million in progeny earnings.

Bo Talon, bred by WinStar Farm, collared pacesetter Latent Revenge in mid-stretch before pulling clear to win by 1 ¼-lengths in 1:11.73 for the six furlongs.

The winner is owned by Xpress Thoroughbreds and was sold at the 2013 Keeneland September Yearling sale. The colt is out of the Grade 1 Santa Monica H. winner Nany’s Sweep. Her four winners include Grade 3 Seaway S. winner She’s Indy Money.
