Toasting raises glass in Dream Rush S.

Toasting’s big sweeping move on the turn carried the 3-year-old daughter of Congrats to her first career stakes win in Sunday’s $100,000 Dream Rush S. at Belmont Park (VIDEO).

Three-year-old Toasting is Congrats’ seventh winner this week and is also her sire’s third stakes winner in the past month.

Toasting was in the back of the seven-horse field for the backstretch run, then moved off the rail to make her assault on the leaders around the turn. She continued her run into the stretch, finally hitting the front in the final sixteenth to clear of a 2 1/4-length winner.

The final time for the seven furlongs was 1:23.27.

Toasting is now 3-1-4 in 12 starts, amassing $291,350 for West Point Thoroughbreds. The Florida-bred is a half-sister to two-time stakes winner Riversrunrylee. West Point purchased Toasting for $175,000 at the 2012 OBS March Select 2-year-old sale.
