Tourist colt hammers for $150,000 Sunday at Keeneland

Tourist’s first yearling to sell at the Keeneland September Yearling sale brought a top bid of $150,000 on Sunday afternoon at the central Kentucky auction, 15 times his advertised stud fee.

Consigned by Gainesway, agent, hip No. 1535 sold to BSW Bloodstock, Liz Crow agent. The dark bay Kentucky-bred is the first foal out of the Awesome Again mare C J’s Gal, who is a full sister to the stakes-placed C J’s Awesome and from the immediate family of King’s Bishop S. (G1) winner Capo Bastone.

Tourist, the fastest winner ever of the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1), has a total of 33 lots remaining in the Keeneland auction, which continues through Sept. 22.
