WinStar Store is closed for maintenance, be back in 2020

Dear WinStar Stablemates,

As 2019 comes to a close, I wanted to inform you that we will be shutting down our WinStar Stablemates program. This is not without much thought and deliberation. I appreciate each and every one of you and how our fans have interacted with us over the last decade. Most initiatives have a timeline, and we feel like this program has run its course for a few reasons.

Firstly, when we launched WinStar Stablemates a decade ago, there were minimal opportunities to interact with the farms in Kentucky. In 2019, that is not the case. Horse Country has been launched. Social media has continued to share the videos and interactions with our treasured athletes in a real time format that can bring you close to the action without making a trip to the farm. Foal Watch has been initiated by the Jockey Club so fans can interact for free and watch some of the stars of our sport foal.

Secondly, we have been plagued by issues with our cameras and the excellence we strive for with everything we do here at WinStar has not been achieved. Because this program is not our core business, we have a limited budget to operate this program, and with anything, it takes resources to make something great. Our fan base has dwindled over the last few years which has continued to put this program at risk.

WinStar appreciates each and every one of you. We will continue to offer the store for apparel from our horses, do tours through Horse Country as well as look for other ways to interact with fans.

One such option is our 2020 WinStar Racing Syndicate with 19 fillies ranging in ages from 2-5. It promises to be an action packed year and if interested please contact [email protected].

I hope you have a great Christmas. If any of you are paid up past the end of the year, we will reimburse you starting January 1st.

Regards,

Elliott
