Surveillance chalked up his sixth career stakes win on Memorial Day with a stalking victory in the $100,000 Chamberlain Bridge S. at Lone Star Park.
The veteran performer broke from the inside post in the five furlong race that was moved to the main track. He settled in fourth while a trio of front-runners battled for the early lead. Shifting off the rail midway on the turn, Surveillance was four-wide coming into the stretch. He steadily closed in on the leaders and took command in deep stretch to win by a half-length in :58.53.
The gray 9-year-old numbers the Troy S. (G3) among his black-type wins. He has accumulated $1,363,507 and is owned by Karon Ashford. He was bred in Kentucky by Kendall E. Hansen, M.D. Racing, LLC.
