Leading freshman sire Super Saver rang up his second winner of the day Saturday when Save Rock and Roll dominated a field of 2-year-old fillies at Monmouth Park by 4 3/4-length in her career debut.
Earlier in the afternoon, Hashtag Bourbon gave Super Saver his first stakes winner with a similarly dominant victory in the $100,000 Mountaineer Juvenile.
Save Rock and Roll tarried off the pace for the first three furlongs, then unleashed a powerful stretch rally to soar by the frontrunners and win going away. The winner covered the five and one-half furlongs on a sloppy main track in 1:04.71 (VIDEO
