Life Is Good got his eighth winner and his fourth TDN Rising Star Aug. 1 at Saratoga when Life Changing rolled to a seven-length victory in a six-furlong maiden special weight affair for 2-year-old fillies.
Life Is Good’s tremendous start at stud has been buoyed by his two-time stakes winner Waggley, who defeated clots in both the Kentucky Juvenile S. and Prairie Gold Juvenile S.
Life Changing, in post 8, came out very well and wrested the lead from First Site in the first furlong. The bay filly looked very comfortable as she steadily increased her lead from that point. Turning for home, she had a two-length advantage and widened with every stride in the stretch to stop the timer in 1:10.51 on a fast main track.
A $1.025 million purchase by Mike Repole out of the 2025 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select sale, Life Changing is a half-sister to Preakness (G1) and Pennsylvania Derby (G1) winner Seize the Grey.
