WinStar Farm’s More Than Ready appeal on the international realm was on display at Australia’s prestigious Inglis Bloodstock Easter Yearling sale, with 12 lots selling for more than $250,000, led by a $700,000 colt.
The southern hemisphere yearling, born in Sept. 2011, was consigned by Widden Stud and purchased by Shadwell Australia. The royally-bred bay colt is out of a stakes-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Provence, who is the dam of $1 million earner Admiration.
More Than Ready gross receipts for the sale came in at $5.7 million, third highest of all sires at the auction. His average price for the total of 22 lots sold was $259,050, eight-best of the sale.
