2-year-olds starting fast for Harlan’s Holiday

Harlan’s Holiday’s ascent up the stallion ranks continues with his latest 2012 crop of 2-year-olds, which added another stakes winner on July 21st when 2-year-old filly American Sugar [VIDEO] cruised to a decisive two-length win in the $75,000 Prairie Gold Lassie at Prairie Meadows.

Fresh off a 3 3/4-length maiden special weight victory last month, American Sugar moved her earnings to $62,366 with the win in the Prairie Gold, joining undefeated 2-year-old colt Shanghai Bobby as juvenile stakes winners for Harlan’s Holiday. Last month, Shanghai Bobby earned a 93 Beyer impressively winning a stakes race at Belmont.

Harlan’s Holiday currently ranks #2 in all of North America by 2-year-olds, and already has an impressive 4 stakes horses from just a dozen 2-year-old starters to date in 2012.
