Artie Schiller sires top filly at Magic Millions

A yearling daughter of Artie Schiller from the immediate family of dual Classic winner Little Current topped the second session of the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Wednesday, March 14 in Adelaide, South Australia.

Hip 311, the third foal from the winning Woodman mare Amazonian, was the top seller among 126 offerings on Day Two of the venue. Purchase price of A$61,000 ($63,745 U.S.) was nearly six times the sale average of A$10,651.

The bay miss has a pedigree familiar to horsemen worldwide. While her first two dams raced successfully in Australia, her third dam, by Roberto, is a full sister to the dam of U.S. stakes winner Turkish Tryst, and half-sister to U.S. Grade 1 winners Little Current and Prayers’n Promises.

Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) champion Artie Schiller, by El Prado, stands the northern hemisphere season at WinStar Farm for $10,000 stands and nurses.
