Early in the morning of Jan. 12 a colt by Bellamy Road became the first foal of 2015 born at WinStar Farm.
The colt is the first foal out of the unraced Pulpit mare Colona. Bred by WinStar Farm and MR Capital, the foal was born at 5:30 a.m.
Colona is a half-sister to Colizeo (Distorted Humor), winner of the 2010 Northern Dancer S. (G3). Colona’s first three dams are all stakes winners.
Bellamy Road, who stands this year for $10,000 S&N, has already had a pair of stakes winners and a graded stakes-placed 3-year-old in 2015.
