Bodemeister colt draws off in MdSpWt win

China Horse Club and WinStar Farm’s Equator made his first two-turn start a winning one on Nov. 10 when the 2-year-old Bodemeister colt tallied a three-length maiden special weight score at Remington Park.

The bay colt is the ninth winner for his sire, who currently ranks sixth on the 2016 First-Crop Sire list with progeny earnings nearing $700,000.

Bred in Kentucky by Alan Kline, Equator is a half-brother to Miesque S. (G3) winner Neversaidiwassweet.

Following three consecutive seasons when he was bred to over 170 mares each year, Bodemeister will stand the 2017 season at WinStar Farm for $25,000 live foal stands and nurses.
