Constitution ranks second on the First-Crop Sires list, an impressive feat considering he has had only four starters compared to leader Khozan’s 15 runners to date.
Owned by Anderson Stables LLC, By Your Side sat a couple of length from the front before making his move for the lead in upper stretch. He steadily cut into Verb’s lead down the lane and out-fought Basin to win by a nose in 1:04.23 for the 5 1/2-furlongs [WATCH RACE].
The winner, bred by Columbiana Farm, sold for $240,000 at the 2018 Keeneland September Yearling sale.
