Donworth is dominating at Delaware

Donworth drew off to a devastating 11-length victory in Saturday’s $50,000 Stanton S. at Delaware Park to become Tiznow’s 63rd lifetime stakes winner while making just his fourth career start.

Three-year-old Donworth, who was finished second in the Lexington S. (G3) at Keeneland, was the class of the Stanton field, taking over the lead half-way through the race before putting away his foes with a quarter mile to run (VIDEO).

The final time for the 1 1/16-miles was 1:41.54, good for a career-best Beyer Speed Figure of 95 and just 0.13 seconds off the track record.

In addition to his good Lexington, Donworth broke his maiden first time out March 14 at Gulfstream Park and was third in the $100,000 Sir Barton S. last month. He has now made $114,000 in his four starts for Regis Racing and trainer Graham Motion.

Donworth is the lone starter out of Grade 1-placed Temple Street.
