Twist ‘n Shout left her foes reeling in a Saratoga maiden special weight contest on Sunday afternoon, cruising to a 7 1/2-length victory the stellar debut for the 2-year-old Drosselmeyer filly.
After dueling with Filly Madison for the first half of the 5 1/2-furlong dash, Twist ‘n Shout began to assert herself and was all alone as she cruised under the wire over the sloppy racetrack (VIDEO).
Twist ‘n Shout is one of Drosselmeyer’s 28 winner to date in 2016, ranking him in the top 10 among Second-Crop sires. The winner is a Smart Choice Stable homebred out of the stakes-placed Twistaway, a sister to Fred Capossela S. winner Spin Zone.
