First-crop sire Hold Me Back F-T sale report

William Schettine was the high bidder, at $90,000 on a filly from the first crop of Hold Me Back at the Aug. 10-11 Saratoga New York Bred Preferred Yearling sale. The winning bid was 15 times the 2013 stud fee of $6,000 for the WinStar stallion.

Consigned by Saratoga Glen Farm LLC, agent, as hip No. 340, the colt is out of the stakes-placed mare Jet’s Tradition, who is out of a full sister to Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks winner Gal in a Ruckus.
