Good Samaritan colt fires bullet at OBS Under Tack Show

A colt from the first crop of WinStar stallion Good Samaritan posted the fastest quarter-mile of the day during Thursday’s breeze show for next week’s OBS 2-year-olds in Training Sale (WATCH BREEZE).

Bred by St. Elias Stable, the gray youngster is out of the Speightstown mare Sweat and Saddle, whose dam Well Monied was a multiple graded stakes winner.

“He has done things on the racetrack that only a few horses have done that we had our hands on,” said Joe Pickerell of consignor Pick View, after the colt, hip No. 177, posted a time of :20 3/5.

Pick View purchased the colt as a yearling for $120,000 at Keeneland in September.

Good Samaritan has a total of nine 2-year-olds in the OBS sale, which will be held March 15-16. The breeze show runs through Saturday.

Good Samaritan, a graded stakes winning millionaire on both dirt and turf, stands at WinStar for $7,500 S&N.
