Hold the Giant still perfect after Edmonton Juvenile win

Hold the Giant, a 2-year-old son of Hold Me Back, is undefeated in two starts following his two-length victory in the $50,000 Edmonton Juvenile S. on Saturday evening.

Owned by Riversedge Racing Stable Ltd., the chestnut Kentucky bred broke his maiden, also at Northlands Park, in his July 1st debut. The juvenile’s dam, Won by a Pole has produced three foals, all winners, who have made at least 20 starts.

Second-crop sire Hold Me Back has eight stakes horses to date, with over $1.1 million in progeny earnings. His 31 winners this year is third-best among all sophomore sires.
