Stellar Bodemeister fall weanling sales results

The much-anticipated first weanlings by Bodemeister’s offered at the Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland sales in November didn’t disappoint, with the WinStar stallion represented by a total of 15 six-figure lots, tops among all sires represented by their first crop.

The marathon Nov. 4-14 sale at Keeneland represented the bulk of Bodemeister’s results. His top seller was a colt, hip No. 1327, consigned by Taylor Made Sales agency and bought by L D Bloodstock for $230,000. The bay Kentucky-bred is out of the Grade 1 Spinaway S. winner Awesome Humor.

Leading the way at Fasig-Tipton was hip No. 8, a filly consigned by James Keogh that sold for $160,000 to Baccari Bloodstock.

With complete results in from both sales, Bodemeister had a co-highest median price of $130,000 and the second highest overall average price of $118,739.
