Super Majesty: A Super Saver Rising Star

Super Majesty sparkled in her debut Sunday at Santa Anita, dominating a field of fillies to win the six furlong maiden special weight affair by a widening 6 ¼-lengths in a very quick 1:08.54.

The 3-year-old daughter of Super Saver, who was bred by WinStar Farm, was tabbed a TDN Rising Star, like Super Saver’s undefeated graded stakes winner Competitive Edge, off the scintillating performance.

After an early duel through a quarter mile in :22.21 seconds, Super Majesty began to pull away from the field. She had a two-length lead with two furlongs to run, and stretched that lead the rest of the way, to coast home under Alex Solis.

The winner is owned by LNJ Foxwoods and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She is out of the Go For Gin mare Gins Majesty, a Grade 3 winner of $210,431 and a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) winner Dancing in Silks. The partnership of Solis and Litt purchased Super Majesty for $400,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Florida March Sale of 2-year-olds in 2014.

With Grade 3 Pat Day Mile winner Competitive Edge leading Super Saver’s 19 winners this year, the WinStar stallion ranks in the top 10 on the Second Crop Sire list in progeny earnings and number of winners.
