Tiznow filly shines in $127,063 Aspirant S.

Tiz Time to Shine notched his first career stakes win Saturday in the $127,063 Aspirant S. at Finger Lakes Racetrack, winning by three-quarters of a length in his second lifetime start.

The Chad Brown-trainee completed the six furlong race in a time of 1:13.31 under jockey Jaime Rodriguez, coming from just off the pace to take the lead for good in deep stretch. The bay colt, owned by Blue Bison Stable and Hoffman Thoroughbreds, improved his lifetime earnings to a sum of $90,838.

The winner was bred by his owners and is the first foal out of the mare Shine Upon, who was a two-time stakes winner herself.

Tiznow has amassed 19 stakes horses and more than $5.8 million in progeny earnings in 2014.
