Veteran campaigner Modern remained undefeated in 2016 with his Saturday evening score in the $75,000 John Longden 6000 H. All three starts for the 6-year-old son of Tiznow this year have come in stakes, with each win coming in front-running fashion.
Modern, owned by Swift Thoroughbreds, has won six stakes over his career, with earnings of $222,293.
Bred in Kentucky by Darley, Modern is out of Interior Design, a sister to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner Tempera.
Modern is one of Tiznow’s 10 black-type horses in 2016. The Hall of Fame stallion has more that 115 black-type horses and $68 million in progeny earnings worldwide.
