Banner Friday at Keeneland for More Than Ready

More Than Ready had two of the top four weanlings during Friday’s session of the Keeneland November sale, including a $325,000 filly purchased by Fort Pierce Racing.

The filly, hip No. 911, was consigned by Gainesway, agent. The Kentucky-bred is the first foal out of the Grade 2-placed Duff One, whose dam Acadiana is a sister to a trio of graded stakes winners as well as Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) runner-up He’s Had Enough.

Later in the session hip No. 1111, a colt consigned by Hidden Brook, agent, went to Stepaside Farm for $300,000. The dark bay is a half-brother to multiple stakes winner Offering Plan out of Rosalie Road.

More Than Ready has enjoyed one the best years in his illustrious career in 2017, with winner of both the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (Roy H) and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (Rushing Fall) and sales results that included $1 million lots at both the Fasig-Tipton February and OBS April sales.
