A blazing fast sprinter, Nashville is the fastest son of Champion Sprinter and sire of sires, Speightstown. Speightstown and sons have a tremendous strike-rate with Sadler’s Wells line mares, particularly through Medaglia d’Oro, whose daughters have produced 2 Speightstown G1Ws. There has also been success through El Prado, Kitten’s Joy, Perfect Soul and Galileo. The cross of Speightstown and sons with Deputy Minister line mares has been a very successful one with nearly 20 BTWs, including out of daughters of Ghostzapper and his sire Awesome Again, Silver Deputy and sons, Touch Gold and Salt Lake. There are more than 30 BTWs on the Speightstown/Danzig cross, including from daughters of Belong to Me, Danehill, Hard Spun, Honor Grades, Langfuhr and Orpen, which also suggests mares by Exchange Rate and War Front. Speightstown is out of a Storm Cat mare, but he and his sons have more than 20 BTWs when crossed over mares from this sire line, successful examples including Hennessy (through Henny Hughes and Johannesburg, sire of Scat Daddy); Giant’s Causeway and his brother Freud; Harlan and sons Menifee and Harlan’s Holiday (sire of Into Mischief) and Stormy Atlantic. Out of mares from Speightstown’s own Mr. Prospector line we can note crosses with mares by Distorted Humor, Lemon Drop Kid, Seeking the Gold, Street Cry and Fappiano through Unbridled’s Song, Broken Vow and Quiet American. There are also 20+ BTWs by Speightstown and sons from A.P. Indy line mares, including from daughters of Bernardini, Tapit, Flatter and Jump Start. The cross with In Reality line mares has enjoyed success through Tiznow, Honour and Glory and Successful Appeal. There are also BTWs out of daughters of Indian Charlie and his son, Uncle Mo, Maria’s Mon and More Than Ready. – Alan Porter
