OBS March 2yo Sale Day 2: Bodemeister fillies takes spotlight

The fillies from Bodemeister’s first crop led the way for her sire during the second session of the OBS March Sale of Selected 2-year-olds in Training, which wrapped its two-day run on Wednesday.

The high bid of the day for a Bodemeister offering was $340,000 for hip No. 580, a filly consigned by Crupi’s New Castle Farm that had breezed an 1/8 mile in a stellar :09 4/5 seconds during the Under Tack Show. The flashy gray is out of the Forward Gal S. (G2) winner Frolic’s Dream.

A second Bodemeister filly matched the :09 4/5 seconds during the Under Tack Show for consignor Harris Training Center. Justin Casse was the winning bidder of hip No. 545 at $280,000. The filly is out of the multiple graded stakes winning mare Enjoy the Moment and is a half-sister to another two-time graded winner in Sum of the Parts.

Bodemeister’s final tally for the sale includes eight lots sold for $1,682,000, an average of $210,250.
