First-crop sire Exaggerator was represented by an $180,000 colt during Tuesday’s opening session of the OBS March Sale of 2-year-olds in Training.
Consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, hip No. 84 went to Eclipse Thoroughbred Parnters.
The bay colt’s dam, the stakes-placed Gem Sleuth, is also the dam of Theory, winner of the Futurity S. (G3) at Belmont and multiple stakes winner Roman Officer. This is also the family of Grade 1 winners Artie Schiller, Prince True and Hidden Light.
Classic winner and multi-millionaire Exaggerator has bred over 450 mares in his first three years at stud. He has an additional four lots cataloged for Wednesday’s closing session of the sale.
