Risky Proposition finishes with flourish to win Del Mar’s Let It Ride S.

Bodemeister got his seventh stakes winner of 2018 on Saturday when Risky Proposition unleashed powerful kick in the final furlong to win the $80,000 Let It Ride S. at Del Mar by three-quarters of a length.

Possessing a natural closing style, Risky Proposition languished well off the pace through the first six furlongs. He inched closer on the bend, then kicked into high gear with an eighth-mile to run, flying past the field to strike the wire first while getting the one-mile on the grass in 1:34.61.

Owned by Tom Acker et al, Risky Proposition is now 3-1-1 in nine starts and has earned $109,770. He was bred in Kentucky by Glencrest Farm, who picked up $10,000 as part of WinStar Farm’s WinStar Incentive Network program.

Bodemeister now has 2018 progeny earnings of over $4.4 million, while his 92 winners this year ranks second among all Third-Crop sires.
