Audible’s Breeders’ Cup winner Splendora named an Eclipse Award finalist

Splendora, who won her last three starts of 2025 by a combined 14 lengths, was named one of three finalists for the Eclipse Award in the Filly & Mare Sprinter category.

The newly-turned 5-year-old , who has returned to training for 2026, capped off her year with a 4 ¾-length romp in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1). After finishing second in a pair of two-turn graded stakes earlier in the year, trainer Bob Baffert cut the filly’s races back in distance, and she reeled off three straight wins. In 10 lifetime starts, Splendora has been worse than second just one time.

Audible, a son of leading sire Into Mischief, had more than a dozen stakes horses in 2025. He himself won the Florida Derby (G1) and Fountain of Youth S. (G2) and placed in the Kentucky Derby (G1). Audible is standing this year for $7,500 LFSN.

Eclipse winners will be announced on FanDuel TV, and other outlets, during the 55th Annual Resolute Racing Eclipse Awards, presented by John Deere, The Jockey Club and the NTRA, on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
