WinStar Farm stallion Nashville had a successful first showing with yearlings on Tuesday afternoon at the Fasig-Tipton July Sale, with two of them selling for six-figure sums.
Hip 6, a WinStar Bred and Raised bay filly out of The Factor mare Pure Wow, brought $140,000 in the ring and was bought by Back Ring Bloodstock. Her second dam Crespano produced Graded stakes winner Once On Whiskey and Graded stakes placed Coppelia. She was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency.
Later on, Hip 80 was acquired by bloodstock agent Ben Gowans for $200,000. The gray filly out of the two-time winning The Factor mare Lil Vie was consigned by Burleson Farms. Her third dam was Grade 1-winner Donna Viola, and she comes from the same family as Group 1-winner Frizzante.
Following the conclusion of the July Sale, Nashville ranks in the Top 10 First-Crop Sire List for average sales purchase. He hails from the prominent sire line of the Eclipse Champion Speightstown, who also sired multiple Grade 1-winner and producer Munnings as well as Grade 1-winners such as Charlatan, Olympiad, and Lexitonian.
