Hip 69, 2025 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale

Day One of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale saw two WinStar Bred and Raised fillies command high sums, both by highly-regarded freshman yearling sire Life Is Good.

Hip 69, a bay filly out of the Graded stakes-winning Oxbow mare Coach Rocks, went to Peter Brant’s White Birch Farm for $550,000. Her second and third dams also are stakes-winners with her Graded stakes-placed second dam Mexican Moonlight, by El Prado, and her third dam Nellie Custis, who is by Val d’Lorne. The yearling filly was consigned by Denali.

Later in the evening, Mike Repole (Repole Stable) added to his strong yearling portfolio when purchasing Hip 84 for $350,000. The Taylor Made Sales Agency-consigned  bay filly by Life Is Good is out of the multiple stakes-winning and multiple Graded stakes-placed Speightster mare Dreaming of Drew. Her second dam Dreaming of Liz, by El Prado, was a Graded stakes-winner at two while her third dam Silver Maiden, by Silver Buck, won the Grade 1 Frizette during her 2-year-old season.
