WinStarFarm announced 2014 stud fees for its expanded 23-stallion roster, led again byleading sire Distorted Humor who stands for $100,000 S&N, and emerging topsire Speightstown, whose fee will be $80,000 S&N following another stellaryear that saw the son of Gone West move towards the top of the General Sires listagain in 2013.
WinStar welcomesa trio of Grade 1-winning millionaires new to the stud barn: Overanalyze, Paynter,and Take Charge Indy. Overanalyze, this year’s Arkansas Derby (G1) winner and amultiple Grade-winning juvenile, retires as Dixie Union’s last G1-winning millionaireto stud. He’ll stand for $10,000 S&N as a participant in WinStar’s DreamBig program.
Paynter willstart a new chapter in his remarkable story when he begins stud duty atWinStar. By Awesome Again out of a full sister to Tiznow, the popular winner oflast year’s Haskell Invitational (G1) will stand his first season at WinStarfor a fee of $25,000 S&N. Florida Derby (G1) winner Take Charge Indy addsto the pedigree power that is new to the WinStar stallion ranks for 2014. Retiringas one of the last Grade 1-winning sons of A.P. Indy, Take Charge Indy hailsout of multiple Grade 1 winner and producer Take Charge Lady. His fee will be$20,000 S&N.
